How to Choose the Correct Hydraulic Seal Kit

The correct seal kit depends on the hydraulic assembly, equipment application and seal specifications. Follow these four checks before ordering a replacement.

Identify the Hydraulic Component

Determine whether you are repairing a boom, arm or bucket cylinder, hydraulic pump, travel motor, swing motor or another hydraulic assembly.

Check the OEM Part Number

Look for a part number on the existing component, equipment parts diagram or service documentation. Compare the complete reference number before ordering.

Confirm Equipment Fitment

Record the equipment make, model and serial number. Different production ranges or hydraulic configurations may require different seal kits.

Verify Seal Dimensions and Kit Contents

When available, check seal dimensions, profiles, materials and included components. Confirm that the kit matches the assembly being repaired.
